# Tokens & Fees

## Tokens & Fees

WEMIX.Fi supports various assets on the WEMIX3.0 network. The **native coin** is **WEMIX**, which serves as the blockchain's primary currency and is used for all gas fee payments. **Bridged assets** and other tokens are also available for trading and liquidity provision across the platform.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Key Points

* **WEMIX (Native Coin)**: Required for all gas fee payments on WEMIX3.0
* **Tokens**: Other bridged or native assets for trading
* **Gas Fees**: Very low cost ($0.01-0.05 per transaction)
* **Protocol Fees**: 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.25%, or 1% distributed to liquidity providers
* **Transaction Speed**: Fast finality ensures quick confirmation
  {% endhint %}

***

## **Understanding Token Types:**

* **Native Coin (WEMIX)**: The blockchain's primary currency, required for gas fees
* **Bridged Assets**: Tokens transferred from other blockchains to WEMIX3.0
* **Native Tokens**: Tokens originally issued on WEMIX3.0

Understanding the platform's fee structure is essential for managing transactions effectively. There are two types of fees on WEMIX.Fi, and they serve different purposes:

***

## **Gas Fees (Network Fees)**

**Gas fees** are paid in WEMIX (native coin) to the WEMIX3.0 network for processing transactions. These fees compensate validators for computing and recording transactions on the blockchain. Every action taken — swapping tokens, adding liquidity, staking, or claiming assets — requires a gas fee paid in WEMIX.

**Gas fees** on WEMIX3.0 range from **$0.01 to 0.05 per transaction**. The exact amount varies slightly based on transaction complexity and network congestion.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### If insufficient WEMIX:

* Transactions will fail with an **"Insufficient gas"** error
* Acquire WEMIX through the [**Swap**](https://wemix.fi/swap) page, transfers, exchanges, or supported on-ramps
* Maintain sufficient WEMIX balance to avoid transaction failures
  {% endhint %}

***

## **Trading Fees**

**Trading fees** are charged when tokens are swapped on WEMIX.Fi. Fee tiers range from 0.01% to 1,00% depending on the pool.

**Fee Distribution:**

* 80% distributed to liquidity providers
* 20% allocated to the protocol

Before confirming any transaction, the platform displays the estimated gas fee in WEMIX. A sufficient balance of WEMIX should always be maintained in the wallet to ensure smooth transaction execution across all services.

# Swap

The Swap service enables instant token exchanges on WEMIX.Fi without the need for traditional order books or centralized intermediaries. It operates through an automated market maker (AMM) model, where exchanges are executed against [**liquidity pools**](/services/pool#understanding-concentrated-liquidity) rather than matched with individual buyers or sellers.

When an exchange is initiated, the platform automatically routes the transaction through available liquidity pools to find the optimal exchange rate.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Key Features

* Instant token exchanges without counterparties
* Automatic exchange rate calculation and routing through liquidity pools
* Transparent exchange rate calculations with slippage controls
* Support for WEMIX and other WEMIX3.0 tokens
  {% endhint %}

***

## Fee Structure:

Two types of fees apply to every swap transaction:

* **Gas Fee (Network Fee)**: Paid in WEMIX to process the transaction on the WEMIX3.0 blockchain. Gas fees on WEMIX3.0 are significantly lower compared to other networks, costs approximately $0.01 \~ $0.05 per transaction.
* **Trading Fee**: A small percentage (0.01%, 0.05%, 0.25%, or 1% depending on the pool) deducted from each trade and distributed to liquidity providers as compensation for providing liquidity to the pool.

***

## Understanding Price Impact:

Price impact occurs when an exchange is large relative to the pool's available liquidity, causing the exchange rate to shift unfavorably during execution. High price impact (above 5%) signals that the exchange will move the exchange rate significantly, resulting in worse execution than the initially quoted rate. For example, swapping 1,000 WEMIX (valued at $1,000) in a pool with $100,000 liquidity typically results in approximately 0.5% price impact, while the same exchange in a $20,000 pool could cause 2-3% price impact.

The platform displays estimated price impact before confirmation, enabling informed decisions about exchange sizing. Exchanges with price impact exceeding 5% should be reduced in size or split into multiple smaller transactions to minimize losses.

# How to use

## Prerequisites: Token Approval

Before executing a swap with a token for the first time, a token approval transaction is required. This one-time authorization grants the Swap smart contract permission to access and transfer the specified token on behalf of the connected wallet.

Token approval is a separate transaction from the actual swap and requires its own gas fee. Once approved, the token can be swapped without requiring approval again unless the approval is revoked or expires. Each token contract requires its own approval — approving one token does not authorize others.

***

## Selecting Tokens and Amounts

Navigate to the Swap page and select the token to exchange from the "From" dropdown menu. Enter the amount to swap, or click "Max" to use the entire available balance. Next, select the desired output token in the "To" field. The platform automatically calculates the estimated trading amount based on current pool liquidity, routing path, and applicable fees.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example

Swapping 1,000 WEMIX (valued at $1,000) in a pool with $100,000 liquidity:

* Trading fee (0.25%): $2.50
* Price impact (\~0.5%): $5.00
* Gas fee: \~$0.01
* Expected trading amount: \~$992 worth of the target token
  {% endhint %}

***

## Reviewing Transaction Details

Before confirming, review the swap details displayed on screen:

* **Exchange rate**: Amount of output token received per unit of input token
* **Trading fee**: Trading fee distributed to liquidity providers
* **Price impact**: Percentage change in price due to trade size relative to pool liquidity
* **Gas fee**: Network fee paid in WEMIX to process the transaction

Adjust slippage tolerance if needed by clicking the settings icon. **Slippage tolerance** determines the maximum acceptable price movement between transaction submission and execution. Calculated settings (average success rate ranging from 0.5% to 1%) are suitable for most trades, but volatile markets or low-liquidity tokens may require higher tolerance.

***

## Executing the Swap

Click "Swap" to proceed, then confirm the transaction in the connected wallet. Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the output tokens will appear in the wallet balance. Transaction status can be monitored through the wallet interface or the [**WEMIX3.0 blockchain explorer**](https://scan.wemix.com/).

# Tips

## Managing Slippage and Price Impact

### **Slippage Settings:**

* Use average slippage (0.5%–1%) for liquid, high-volume token pairs
* Increase slippage tolerance (2%–5%) for low-liquidity tokens or during volatile market conditions
* Avoid excessively high slippage settings, as they can result in unfavorable execution prices

### **Reducing Price Impact:**

* **Split large exchanges into multiple smaller transactions** to reduce price impact
* Monitor price impact warnings — exchanges with impact exceeding 5% should be reduced or delayed
* Check pool liquidity depth before executing large swaps (see [**Pool**](https://wemix.fi/pool) for liquidity information)
* Execute exchanges during periods when market conditions stabilize over 10-30 minutes, allowing liquidity to replenish

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example

A single 5,000 WEMIX swap with 3% price impact ($150 loss) can be split into five 1,000 WEMIX swaps with 0.6% price impact each ($30 total loss), reducing slippage by 80%.
{% endhint %}

***

## Cost Optimization

### **Gas Fee Management:**

* Ensure sufficient WEMIX balance before initiating swaps to avoid transaction failures
* Monitor gas fee estimates during network congestion periods
* Combine multiple small trades into fewer larger transactions when appropriate to save on cumulative gas costs

### **Token Approval Best Practices:**

* First-time swaps for each token require a separate approval transaction
* Approval is a one-time action per token contract
* Unlimited approval eliminates future approval steps but increases smart contract exposure
* Consider limited approval amounts for tokens with unknown or unaudited contracts

## Transaction Troubleshooting

For common issues such as failed transactions, slippage errors, insufficient liquidity warnings, or balance display problems, refer to the [**Support → Help Center**](https://wemix-fi.zendesk.com/) section for detailed resolution steps.

# Pool

The Pool service allows users to provide liquidity to trading pairs on WEMIX.Fi and earn fees from swaps executed through those pools. WEMIX.Fi uses a Concentrated Liquidity Automated Market Maker (CLAMM) model, which enables liquidity providers to concentrate capital within specific deposit ranges rather than distributing it across the entire range.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Key Concepts:

* **Concentrated Range**: Upper and lower exchange rate boundaries where liquidity is active
* **Capital Efficiency**: Concentrated positions earn more fees per exchange than full-range positions
* **Fee Tiers**: Different pools charge different trading fees based on volatility and liquidity needs
* **Active Position**: A position currently earning fees because exchange rate is within the deposit range
* **Out-of-Range Position**: A position not earning fees because exchange rate has moved outside the range
  {% endhint %}

***

## Understanding Concentrated Liquidity

Unlike traditional AMMs where liquidity is spread evenly across all possible exchange rates, CLAMM allows liquidity to be deposited within a custom exchange rate range. This concentration creates greater capital efficiency — liquidity providers earn more fees per unit of capital when the exchange rate remains within the selected range.

### Active vs. Inactive Positions

Positions only earn fees when the current exchange rate falls within the specified range. If the exchange rate moves outside this range, the position becomes **inactive** and stops generating fees. The position will not resume earning until the exchange rate returns to the selected range or the position is rebalanced.

### CLAMM vs. Traditional AMM

| Feature | CLAMM (Concentrated) | Traditional AMM (Full Range) |
| --------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Capital Efficiency | High — liquidity concentrated in specific range | Low — liquidity spread across all prices |
| Fee Earnings | Higher per unit of capital (when in-range) | Lower per unit of capital |
| Management Required   | Active — requires rebalancing when out-of-range | Passive — no rebalancing needed             |
| Impermanent Loss Risk | Amplified within selected range | Standard IL across all price movements |
| Best For | Active liquidity providers, stable pairs | Passive liquidity providers, volatile pairs |

***

## **Fee Structure:**

Two types of fees apply to liquidity provision:

* **Trading Fee**: Trading fees are charged on each swap executed through the pool. These fees are split between liquidity providers and the protocol:
* **Fee Tier Selection:** Liquidity providers earn their portion of trading fees continuously. Fees accumulate in the position and can be collected at any time without closing the position.
  * 0.01%: Stablecoin pairs with minimal price volatility
  * 0.05%: Standard pairs with low to moderate volatility(e.g., WEMIX/stWEMIX)
  * 0.25%: Moderate volatility pairs
  * 1.00%: High volatility or low liquidity pairs

| Pool Fee Tier | Total Trading Fee | Liquidity Providers | Protocol Fees |
| ------------- | ----------------- | ------------------- | ------------- |
| 0.01%         | 0.01%             | 0.008%              | 0.002%        |
| 0.05%         | 0.05%             | 0.04%               | 0.01%         |
| 0.25%         | 0.25%             | 0.2%                | 0.05%         |
| 1.00%         | 1.00%             | 0.8%                | 0.2%          |

* **Gas Fee (Network Fee)**: Paid in WEMIX for all liquidity transactions including deposits, withdrawals, deposit range adjustments, and reward claims. Gas fees on WEMIX3.0 are significantly lower than other networks.

When providing liquidity, both tokens in the pair must be deposited in proportion to the current exchange rate and selected range.

# Add Liquidity

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Important Risk Warning

Positions outside the selected deposit range stop earning fees and may experience impermanent loss. Narrow ranges require frequent rebalancing, which incurs gas costs and can significantly reduce net profitability. Review the [**Risks**](/services/pool/risks) section before proceeding.
{% endhint %}

## Prerequisites: Token Approval

Before providing liquidity with a token for the first time, a token approval transaction is required for each token in the pair. This one-time authorization grants the Pool smart contract permission to access and transfer the specified tokens on behalf of the connected wallet. Token approval is a separate transaction from the liquidity deposit and requires its own gas fee.

***

## Selecting a Token Pair

Navigate to the Pool page and browse the list of available liquidity pools. Each pool displays key information:

* Token pair (e.g., WEMIX/stWEMIX)
* Current APR
* 24-hour / 7-day trading volume
* Current liquidity

Select the token pair where liquidity will be provided. Common pairs include WEMIX/stWEMIX and other actively traded combinations.

***

## Setting a Deposit Range

After selecting a pair, choose a deposit range strategy. WEMIX.Fi provides preset options and custom range input:

### Preset Range Options

* **Narrow Range:** Concentrated liquidity within ±5-10% of current exchange rate
  * Maximum capital efficiency and fee earnings per dollar
  * Requires active management and frequent rebalancing
  * Higher risk of moving out-of-range
  * Example: $10,000 position may earn $200/month but incur $50/month in rebalancing costs
* **Wide Range**: Broader liquidity spread within ±20-50% of current exchange rate
  * Balanced capital efficiency with reduced maintenance needs
  * Rebalancing required every 1-2 weeks
  * Suitable for most liquidity providers
  * Example: $10,000 position may earn $120/month with $15/month in rebalancing costs
* **Full Range**: Liquidity distributed across all possible exchange rates
  * Lower capital efficiency and fee earnings
  * Minimal rebalancing required (monthly or less)
  * Best for passive, long-term liquidity provision
  * Example: $10,000 position may earn $60/month with $5/month in costs

### Custom Range

Advanced users can manually set specific upper and lower deposit boundaries for precise range targeting based on market analysis and volatility expectations.

***

## Selecting Position Placement

After defining the deposit range, select the position placement relative to the current exchange rate.

### Position Placement Options

* **Centered (Current Exchange Rate)**: Range is centered on the current exchange rate
  * Balanced exposure to price movements in both directions
  * Suitable for stable or range-bound markets
  * Immediately begins earning fees
* **Right-Shifted (Above Exchange Rate)**: Range positioned above the current exchange rate
  * Anticipates upward price movement
  * Position starts out-of-range but activates if price rises
  * Suitable when expecting bullish price action
* **Left-Shifted (Below Exchange Rate)**: Range positioned below the current exchange rate
  * Anticipates downward price movement
  * Position starts out-of-range but activates if price falls
  * Suitable when expecting bearish price action

### Current Exchange Rate Reference

The interface displays the current exchange rate as a reference point for positioning the range. Consider recent exchange rate volatility and expected market direction when selecting placement.

***

## **Selecting a Fee Tier**

Choose an appropriate fee tier for the position. Different fee tiers suit different market conditions:

<table><thead><tr><th width="107.578125">Fee Tier</th><th width="313.08203125">Best For</th><th width="165.109375">Liquidity Provider Share (80%)</th><th>Protocol Share (20%</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>0.01%</td><td>Stablecoin pairs with minimal volatility</td><td>0.008%</td><td>0.002%</td></tr><tr><td>0.05%</td><td>Standard pairs with low to moderate volatility (e.g., WEMIX/stWEMIX)</td><td>0.04%</td><td>0.01%</td></tr><tr><td>0.25%</td><td>Moderate volatility pairs</td><td>0.2%</td><td>0.05%</td></tr><tr><td>1.00%</td><td>High volatility or low liquidity pairs</td><td>0.8%</td><td>0.2%</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Fee Tier Selection Guidance

* Lower fee tiers attract more trading volume but earn less per trade
* Higher fee tiers earn more per exchange but may discourage volume
* Match fee tier to pair's typical volatility and competition from other pools

***

## Entering Deposit Amounts

Enter the amount of one token to deposit. The platform automatically calculates the required amount of the second token based on the current exchange rate and selected range. Review the deposit details, including estimated position value, deposit range boundaries, and expected share of trading fees.

Review all position parameters and click "Deposit" and confirm the transaction in the connected wallet. Once confirmed, the liquidity position becomes active and begins earning fees immediately if the exchange rate is within the deposit range.

The new position will appear in [**Portfolio**](/management/portfolio) with a unique NFT identifier. Track position status, accumulated fees, and range status through [**Portfolio**](/management/portfolio).

{% hint style="info" %}

### Example

Adding $10,000 liquidity to WEMIX/stWEMIX pool with ±20% range and 0.05% fee tier:

* Daily trading volume: $500,000
* Expected monthly fees: \~$250 (0.05% of proportional volume)
* If WEMIX price moves 25%, position becomes partially out-of-range
* Potential impermanent loss: \~$150 if price diverges 25% and is withdrawn immediately
* Net result depends on fee accumulation vs. IL over holding period

Click "Deposit" and confirm the transaction in the connected wallet. Once confirmed, the liquidity position becomes active and begins earning fees immediately if the exchange rate is within the deposit range.
{% endhint %}

# Manage Position

## Monitoring Positions

Active liquidity positions can be viewed on the [**Portfolio**](/management/portfolio) page. Each position displays:

* Token pair and fee tier
* Deposit value in USD
* Deposit range and current exchange rate
* In-range or out-of-range status
* Accumulated reward

***

## Adding or Removing Liquidity

Existing positions can be modified by adding more liquidity or removing a portion without closing the entire position. Navigate to the specific position and select "Add" to deposit additional tokens or "Withdraw" to withdraw liquidity.

When withdrawing liquidity, the proportional amounts of both tokens are returned to the wallet based on the current exchange rate. If the position is out-of-range, the withdrawn tokens will be weighted toward one side depending on which direction the exchange rate moved.

***

## Rewards

Accumulated trading fees from the position can be claimed at any time without affecting the principal liquidity. Navigate to the specific position in **Pool** or **Portfolio - My Pool** and select "Rewards" to view accumulated fees and choose a collection method.

Two options are available: **Compound** adds the rewards back to the existing liquidity position within the same deposit range and fee tier, increasing position size. **Receive to Wallet** transfers the rewards directly to the wallet while leaving the principal position unchanged. Both options require a gas fee for the transaction.

For small fee amounts (under $10), collecting less frequently minimizes gas costs relative to earnings. For larger positions, collecting and compounding weekly optimizes the balance between compounding benefits and transaction costs.

# Risks

## Impermanent Loss

**Impermanent loss** occurs when the exchange rate of the two tokens in a pool changes after liquidity is deposited. The greater the price divergence from the initially deposited exchange rate, the larger the impermanent loss. This loss is "impermanent" because it only becomes permanent when liquidity is withdrawn — if exchange rates return to the original ratio, the loss disappears.

Concentrated liquidity positions experience **amplified impermanent loss** compared to full-range positions due to the concentrated capital exposure. Narrow price ranges magnify both fee earnings and impermanent loss effects.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example

* Deposit: 1,000 WEMIX + 1,000 stWEMIX at 1:1 ratio (total value: $2,000)
* After 20% WEMIX price increase: Position converts to \~1,095 WEMIX + 913 stWEMIX
* Value if held individually: $2,200
* Value in pool: $2,182
* Impermanent loss: $18 (\~0.8%)
* If range was concentrated (±10%), IL amplifies to \~$30-40 (\~1.5-2%)

Earned rewards may offset impermanent loss over time, but significant price movements can result in net losses even with reward accumulation.
{% endhint %}

***

## Out-of-Range Positions

When the exchange rate moves outside the selected range, the position stops earning fees and becomes fully composed of one token. For example, if the price rises above the upper bound, the position converts entirely to the lower-priced token.

Out-of-range positions require rebalancing by removing liquidity and creating a new position with an updated price range. Frequent rebalancing incurs additional gas costs and transaction fees that reduce overall profitability, particularly for narrow-range strategies.

***

## Smart Contract and Market Risks

Liquidity pools interact with smart contracts that carry inherent risks including bugs, exploits, or vulnerabilities. While WEMIX.Fi contracts undergo security audits (see [**Security & Audits**](/reference/security-and-audits)), no system is entirely risk-free. Additionally, market volatility can cause rapid price movements that result in unexpected impermanent loss or require urgent position adjustments.

For detailed troubleshooting related to liquidity provision errors, refer to the **Support → Help Center**.

# Liquid Staking

The Liquid Staking service on WEMIX.Fi enables participation in staking while maintaining liquidity and flexibility. Unlike traditional staking, which locks tokens for extended periods, liquid staking issues **liquid staking tokens** that represent the staked position.&#x20;

## **How Liquid Staking Works**

When tokens are deposited for liquid staking, the platform issues **stWEMIX** - a liquid staking token that represents the staked position plus accumulated rewards. This liquid staking token increases in redemption value over time as staking rewards are earned. stWEMIX can be held to continue earning rewards, or redeemed back to WEMIX.

### Key Benefits

* **Maintained Liquidity**: Staked assets remain accessible through stWEMIX
* **Continuous Rewards**: Rewards accrue automatically without manual claiming
* **Flexibility**: Exit staking positions through exchanging stWEMIX&#x20;

***

## Understanding Liquid Staking Token: stWEMIX

Liquid staking tokens (e.g., stWEMIX) are receipt tokens representing both the principal staked amount and all accumulated rewards. These are **balance-invariant tokens with increasing redemption value over time** — the token balance in the wallet remains constant while the amount of native tokens redeemable per stWEMIX increases as rewards accrue.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example

* Initial deposit: 1,000 WEMIX → receive 1,000 stWEMIX (1:1 ratio)
* After 6 months at 5% APY: 1,000 stWEMIX → redeemable for 1,025 WEMIX (1:1.025 ratio)
* After 12 months at 5% APY: 1,000 stWEMIX → redeemable for 1,050 WEMIX (1:1.05 ratio)

The stWEMIX balance remains 1,000 throughout, but its redemption value increases from 1,000 → 1,025 → 1,050 WEMIX as rewards accumulate.
{% endhint %}

***

## **Fee Structure**

Liquid Staking on WEMIX.Fi charges a protocol fee on staking activities. Fees are collected at the protocol level and sent to the Treasury. Fee structures and rates are subject to change. Gas fees paid in WEMIX are required for all liquid staking transactions including deposits, redemptions, and any transfers of stWEMIX.

# Stake / Unstake

## Staking WEMIX

Navigate to the Liquid Staking page and select the staking direction (WEMIX → stWEMIX). Enter the amount to stake or click "Max" to stake the entire available balance. The platform displays the estimated amount of stWEMIX that will be received based on the current exchange rate.

Review the staking details including:

* Amount of stWEMIX to be received (e.g., 1,000 WEMIX → 1,000 stWEMIX)
* Current exchange rate (e.g., 1 stWEMIX = 1.05 WEMIX)
* Swap exchange rate: Compare stWEMIX/WEMIX exchange rate on [**Swap**](https://wemix.fi/swap) (may be higher or lower)

Click "Exchange" and confirm the transaction in the connected wallet. Once confirmed, the liquid staking token (e.g., stWEMIX) appears in the wallet balance and immediately begin accruing value through staking rewards.

If Swap offers a better exchange rate than Liquid Staking, consider exchanging WEMIX for stWEMIX directly on the [**Swap page**](https://wemix.fi/swap) instead.

* Pro: May receive more stWEMIX per WEMIX if the exchange rate is favorable
* Con: May receive less stWEMIX if the exchange rate is unfavorable
* Consideration: Swap is subject to slippage an liquidity availability

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example

Staking 10,000 WEMIX at 5% APY (exchange rate: 1 stWEMIX = 1.05 WEMIX):

* Daily rewards: \~1.37 WEMIX (reflected in exchange rate increase)
* Monthly rewards: \~41.67 WEMIX

## Unstaking stWEMIX

To unstake, navigate to the Liquid Staking page and select the unstaking direction (stWEMIX → WEMIX). Enter the amount of stWEMIX to redeem, or click "Max" to unstake the entire balance. The platform calculates the amount of underlying WEMIX that will be received based on the current exchange rate, which reflects all accumulated rewards.

Review the redemption details including:

* Amount of WEMIX to be received (after applying current exchange rate)
* Current exchange rate
* Unstaking period: **7 days** before tokens become available

Click "Exchange" and confirm the transaction. During the 7 day unstaking period, rewards stop accruing on the unstaked amount.

### Claiming Unstaked WEMIX

After the unbonding period completes, WEMIX must be manually claimed via [**Portfolio**](https://wemix.fi/portfolio). Review the claimable WEMIX amount and confirm the transaction. Once the transaction is complete, the WEMIX will be transferred to the connected wallet. Claimable WEMIX has no expiration.

***

## Alternative Method: Using WEMIX.Fi Swap

Both staking and unstaking can be done instantly via [**Swap**](https://wemix.fi/swap) instead of using the official Liquid Staking service. This method interacts with the stWEMIX/WEMIX liquidity pool and is subject to the pool's exchange rate, which may differ from that of Liquid Staking.

<table><thead><tr><th width="130.83203125" valign="top">Comparison</th><th valign="top">Swap WEMIX → stWEMIX</th><th valign="top">Swap stWEMIX → WEMIX</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">Pro</td><td valign="top"><ul><li>Transaction is immediate</li><li>May be possible to receive a more favorable rate if the pool's exchange rate is better</li></ul></td><td valign="top"><ul><li>WEMIX is received immediately, with no 7-day wait</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Con</td><td valign="top"><ul><li>Pool's exchange rate may be unfavorable</li><li>Subject to price slippage and liquidity availability</li></ul></td><td valign="top"><ul><li>Less WEMIX may be received than Liquid Staking</li><li>Subject to price slippage and liquidity availability</li></ul></td></tr></tbody></table>

# Rewards

## How Rewards Accrue

Staking rewards are generated by WEMIX3.0 validators(WONDERs) and accumulated in the Reward Pool. These rewards are periodically compounded back into the staking pool, increasing the exchange rate between stWEMIX and WEMIX.

<figure><img src="https://1713088198-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FEo55jrwSeX46HoVs0pqI%2Fuploads%2FSEiXMJbAx1vhOVmijlyf%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3e808984-8a7b-42aa-929e-42e538fbb557" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### **Reward Mechanism:**

* Staked WEMIX is delegated to the highest-performing WONDER
* The WONDER generates block rewards continuously
* Rewards accumulated in the Reward Pool
* Rewards are periodically claimed and compounded
* Exchange rate updates to reflect compounded rewards

### Compounding Process

When rewards are compounded:

* Accumulated WEMIX from the Reward Pool is claimed
* 10% protocol fee is collected (converted to stWEMIX, sent to Treasury, and burned)
* Remaining 90% is restaked in the Governance Contract
* Exchange rate increases to reflect net rewards

This automatic compounding mechanism means stWEMIX holders earn rewards without any manual actions.

### Reward Calculation

The exchange rate between stWEMIX and WEMIX is calculated based on:

* StakingAmount: Total WEMIX staked in Governance Contract
* ClaimAmount: WEMIX accumulated in Reward Pool
* Protocol Fee: 10% of ClaimAmount
* Exchange rate formula:

$$
Exchange  \space Rate = {StakingAmount + ClaimAmount - feeWEMIX \over Total \space stWEMIX \space supply}
$$

# Conditions

## Unstaking Period

Liquid staking includes a **7 day unstaking period** during which redeemed tokens are not immediately available. This period is determined by the underlying WEMIX3.0 staking mechanism. During the unstaking period, the position stops earning rewards.

**The unstaking period cannot be cancelled once initiated.** Unstaking transactions should be planned in advance if funds are needed by a specific date.

***

## Smart Contract Risk

Liquid staking positions interact with smart contracts that carry inherent risks including bugs, exploits, or vulnerabilities. While WEMIX.Fi contracts undergo security audits (see [**Security & Audits**](/reference/security-and-audits)), no system is entirely risk-free. Staked assets are held in smart contracts throughout the staking period.

***

## Liquid Staking Token Depeg Risk

Liquid Staking Tokens represent claims on staked assets and rewards. Under normal conditions, liquid staking tokens maintain their intended exchange rate with the underlying native token (redemption value). However, market conditions, liquidity constraints, or technical issues could cause temporary or permanent deviation (depeg) from the expected value.

If stWEMIX is traded on secondary markets ([**Swap**](https://wemix.fi/swap), [**Pool**](https://wemix.fi/pool)), their exchange rate may differ from the redemption value. This price discrepancy can create arbitrage opportunities or result in unfavorable exchange rates when selling liquid staking tokens before unstaking.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example Depeg Scenario

* Redemption value: 1 stWEMIX = 1.05 WEMIX
* Exchange rate on DEX: 1 stWEMIX = 1.02 WEMIX (3% discount)
* Selling on DEX results in 3% loss compared to unstaking and waiting 7 days
  {% endhint %}

# Dashboard

The Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of all platform-wide activity and data on WEMIX.Fi. It displays aggregated metrics including Total Value Locked, Volumes, Rewards, Liquidity Pools, token prices, and real-time Transaction History across all WEMIX.Fi services. The Dashboard serves as the primary information hub for monitoring overall platform status, market trends, and trading activity. All data reflects the collective activity of all users on the platform, not individual wallet holdings. For personal portfolio tracking, see the [**Portfolio**](https://wemix.fi/portfolio) page.

**Note:** The Dashboard is a read-only monitoring tool. To perform actions such as swapping tokens, providing liquidity, or staking, navigate to the respective service pages via the navigation menu or clickable elements within the Dashboard.

***

## Key Concepts

### 1. Platform Overview Metrics

Three primary metrics appear at the top of the Dashboard:

#### **1-1. Total Value Locked (TVL)**

The total USD value of all assets deposited across WEMIX.Fi services, including liquidity pools and liquid staking positions. **TVL reflects the platform's overall liquidity depth and usage scale.** Higher TVL indicates greater capital commitment and platform adoption.

#### **1-2. 24-Hour Volume**

The total USD value of all trading activity (swaps, deposits, withdrawals, staking) executed on the platform within the last 24 hours. **Higher volume indicates active trading and healthy liquidity utilization.** Volume trends help identify market activity patterns and liquidity demand.

#### **1-3. 24-Hour Rewards**

The total USD value of all rewards earned by liquidity providers across the platform within the last 24 hours. **This metric reflects the platform's fee generation and reward distribution.** Higher rewards indicate active fee generation from trading activity.

### 2. Charts

#### **2-1. Total Value Locked Chart**

Displays historical TVL trends over time, showing how platform liquidity has grown or contracted. Time range filters (24h, 7d, 30d, all-time) allow analysis of different periods. TVL growth trends indicate increasing platform adoption, while declines may signal capital outflows or market conditions.

#### **2-2. Trading Volume Chart**

Shows historical trading volume trends, indicating market activity patterns and peak trading periods. Volume spikes often correlate with market volatility or significant price movements. Consistent volume demonstrates sustained platform usage.

### 3. Tokens

<figure><img src="https://1713088198-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FEo55jrwSeX46HoVs0pqI%2Fuploads%2FwIrUHHloAHiqD6pMKhDE%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=42aba54c-4687-40ce-be18-c2e0a9d82379" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Portfolio

The Portfolio page provides a comprehensive view of all positions and activities associated with the connected wallet. It displays personal asset holdings, active positions across WEMIX.Fi services, accumulated rewards, pending withdrawals, and transaction history specific to the connected account.

Unlike the Dashboard, which shows platform-wide data, the Portfolio focuses exclusively on the individual user's positions and performance. All metrics, positions, and transaction records reflect only the connected wallet's activity.

**Getting Started:** To view portfolio data, connect a Web3 wallet using the "Connect Wallet" button in the navigation bar. Once connected, the Portfolio automatically displays all positions and activities associated with that wallet address. To switch wallets, disconnect the current wallet and connect a different one.

The Portfolio page serves as the primary tool for monitoring personal investments, tracking returns, managing positions, and reviewing transaction history across Swap, Pool, and Liquid Staking services.

***

## Key Concepts

### 1. Portfolio Overview Metrics

Five primary metrics appear at the top of the Portfolio page:

#### **1-1. Total Assets**

The combined USD value of all assets held across WEMIX.Fi services, including tokens in pools, staked assets, accumulated rewards, and pending withdrawals. **This represents the total portfolio value.**

#### **1-2. Total Deposits**

The total USD value of assets currently deposited in active positions, including liquidity pool positions and liquid staking positions. This excludes accumulated rewards and pending withdrawals.

#### **1-3. Total Rewards**

The cumulative USD value of all rewards earned from providing liquidity and liquid staking. **This includes both claimed and unclaimed rewards across all services.**

#### **1-4. Total Pending Withdrawals**

The total USD value of assets in unstaking status awaiting the completion of the unstaking period. **This metric applies exclusively to Liquid Staking, which requires a 7-14 day waiting period before withdrawn tokens become available.**

#### **1-5. Asset Ratio by Coin**

A visual breakdown (pie chart or percentage list) showing portfolio composition by token type. This displays what percentage of total assets each token represents, helping assess diversification and exposure.

### 2. My Staking

# Claim

The Claim page enables withdrawal of unclaimed assets from discontinued WEMIX.Fi services. When certain services are phased out or terminated, user funds remain accessible through their respective smart contracts. The Claim page provides a unified interface to identify and recover these assets.

Currently, the Claim page supports asset recovery and debt repayment for the following discontinued services:

* **GRAND Staking**
* **DIOS Staking**
* **Lend & Borrow**
* **Discontinued Pools**

The page automatically detects whether the connected wallet has any unclaimed assets or outstanding obligations in these discontinued services. If assets are found, withdrawal or repayment options become available.

## **Prerequisites Before Claiming:**

* Wallet must be connected to WEMIX.Fi
* Sufficient WEMIX balance to cover gas fees
* For Lend & Borrow repayment: Sufficient tokens to cover outstanding debt

All smart contracts for discontinued services remain operational to ensure funds can be safely recovered or debts settled, even though new deposits or borrowing actions are no longer supported through the WEMIX.Fi interface.

***

## Key Concepts

### 1. Eligibility for Claims

The Claim page displays claimable assets only if the connected wallet meets specific criteria:

#### **1-1. GRAND and DIOS Staking:**

* Wallet previously staked tokens in these services
* Staked tokens or accumulated rewards remain unclaimed in the contract
* No minimum balance required — any amount can be claimed

#### **1-2. Lend & Borrow:**

* For Lenders: Wallet holds cTokens (receipt tokens from supplying assets)
* For Borrowers: Wallet has outstanding debt in the contract with deposited collateral
* Minimum withdrawal: No minimum, but gas fees may exceed value for very small amounts

#### **1-3. If No Assets Are Detected:**

The Claim page will not display any claimable assets if:

* The wallet never participated in discontinued services
* All assets have already been claimed
* Assets were claimed through direct smart contract interaction outside the [**WEMIX.Fi**](http://WEMIX.Fi) interface

To verify assets on-chain directly, check wallet activity on the WEMIX3.0 blockchain explorer.

### 2. Discontinued Services

#### **2-1. GRAND Staking and DIOS Staking**

These staking services have been discontinued, but any staked tokens or accumulated rewards remain claimable. The Claim page displays:

* **Total claimable value**: Combined value in USD

#### 2-2. Lend & Borrow

The Lend & Borrow service has been discontinued, but the underlying smart contracts remain active to allow management of existing positions. The Claim page displays:

* **Total withdrawable value:** Combined value in USD
* **Total repayment required:** Amount needed to fully repay debt in USD

### 3. Gas Fees and Requirements

All withdrawal and repayment transactions require gas fees paid in WEMIX. **Ensure the connected wallet holds sufficient WEMIX before initiating claims or repayments.**

* The interface provides key transaction information:

  * **Minimum Trading Amount:** The minimum guaranteed output after accounting for fees, slippage, and price changes.
  * **Optimal Swap Route:** The most efficient path through liquidity pools for the best rate. Routes may include intermediate tokens.
  * **Trading Fee:** Fee rates vary based on the liquidity pool's fee tier configuration.
  * **Price Impact:** The effect of trade size on token price. Larger trades create higher price impact and less favorable rates.
  * **Slippage Rate:** Maximum acceptable price deviation during execution. Options include 0.1%, 0.5%, 1.1%, or custom input. Lower slippage provides protection but risks transaction failure. Higher slippage increases success rate but permits greater price variation.

# Liquid Staking

WEMIX.Fi Liquid Staking enables staking WEMIX while maintaining liquidity. Users receive stWEMIX, a liquid staking token that represents staked WEMIX and automatically accumulates staking rewards.

stWEMIX can be utilized across other DeFi services while earning rewards, providing flexibility without sacrificing staking benefits. The value of stWEMIX increases over time as staking rewards accumulate.
