Stake / Unstake
Staking WEMIX
Navigate to the Liquid Staking page and select the staking direction (WEMIX → stWEMIX). Enter the amount to stake or click "Max" to stake the entire available balance. The platform displays the estimated amount of stWEMIX that will be received based on the current exchange rate.
Review the staking details including:
Amount of stWEMIX to be received (e.g., 1,000 WEMIX → 1,000 stWEMIX)
Current exchange rate (e.g., 1 stWEMIX = 1.05 WEMIX)
Swap exchange rate: Compare stWEMIX/WEMIX exchange rate on Swap (may be higher or lower)
Click "Exchange" and confirm the transaction in the connected wallet. Once confirmed, the liquid staking token (e.g., stWEMIX) appears in the wallet balance and immediately begin accruing value through staking rewards.
If Swap offers a better exchange rate than Liquid Staking, consider exchanging WEMIX for stWEMIX directly on the Swap page instead.
Pro: May receive more stWEMIX per WEMIX if the exchange rate is favorable
Con: May receive less stWEMIX if the exchange rate is unfavorable
Consideration: Swap is subject to slippage an liquidity availability

Staking 10,000 WEMIX at 5% APY (exchange rate: 1 stWEMIX = 1.05 WEMIX):
Daily rewards: ~1.37 WEMIX (reflected in exchange rate increase)
Monthly rewards: ~41.67 WEMIX
Annual rewards: ~500 WEMIX
After 1 year: 10,000 stWEMIX redeemable for 10,500 WEMIX
Unstaking stWEMIX
To unstake, navigate to the Liquid Staking page and select the unstaking direction (stWEMIX → WEMIX). Enter the amount of stWEMIX to redeem, or click "Max" to unstake the entire balance. The platform calculates the amount of underlying WEMIX that will be received based on the current exchange rate, which reflects all accumulated rewards.
Review the redemption details including:
Amount of WEMIX to be received (after applying current exchange rate)
Current exchange rate
Unstaking period: 7 days before tokens become available
Click "Exchange" and confirm the transaction. During the 7 day unstaking period, rewards stop accruing on the unstaked amount.
Claiming Unstaked WEMIX
After the unbonding period completes, WEMIX must be manually claimed via Portfolio. Review the claimable WEMIX amount and confirm the transaction. Once the transaction is complete, the WEMIX will be transferred to the connected wallet. Claimable WEMIX has no expiration.
Alternative Method: Using WEMIX.Fi Swap
Both staking and unstaking can be done instantly via Swap instead of using the official Liquid Staking service. This method interacts with the stWEMIX/WEMIX liquidity pool and is subject to the pool's exchange rate, which may differ from that of Liquid Staking.
